Wheelchairs for forgotten lives

“Freedom to move. Freedom to live.”

Wheelchairs for Forgotten Lives provides mobility equipment to children and elders living with disabilities who lack access to proper support. By restoring mobility, the program helps individuals regain independence, participate in daily life, and reconnect with their communities.

The Problem

For many individuals with mobility challenges, the absence of proper assistive equipment leads to isolation, limited access to education or healthcare, and increased dependence on caregivers.

In underserved communities, wheelchairs and mobility aids are often unavailable or unaffordable, leaving individuals confined to their homes despite conditions that could be improved with appropriate support.

Access to mobility is not only a medical need — it is essential for dignity and participation in everyday life.

Story

“Moving Beyond the Doorway”

Before receiving a wheelchair, an elderly recipient relied entirely on family members for movement outside the home. Through Wheelchairs for Forgotten Lives, mobility support allowed daily outdoor activity and participation in community life again.

Family members shared that the greatest change was independence — the ability to move freely and reconnect with neighbors and daily routines.

Transparency & Accountability

All mobility equipment is distributed through verified partners with proper assessment to ensure safe and appropriate use. Follow-up monitoring helps confirm long-term benefit for recipients.
